Bullying can threaten students’ physical and emotional safety at school and can negatively impact their ability to learn. Bullying has an adverse effect on all the three — one who bully’s, the one who is being bullied and the bystander. Bullying includes hostile intent, imbalance of power, repetition, distress, and provocation and can have a wide spectrum of effects on a student including anger, depression, stress and suicide. Additionally, the bully can develop different social disorders or have a higher chance of engaging in criminal activity. After the HRD ministry’s direction to CBSE schools (2015) to form anti-ragging committees at school level and also putting severe punishments to students indulging in bullying, including punishments as extreme as rustication in rarest of rare cases we are endeavouring to make our school a no Bullying School. There are notice boards, sign boards, bill boards, posters standees etc put within and outside school premises warning students from involving in bullying. The Anti-Bullying Committee is well in place to check, control and curb even the smallest cases hurting the sentiments of a student.
